US 41 project goals

Quality of life
The overall goal of the US 41 Project is to improve the quality of life for the people who live, work or travel on or near this important highway. To achieve this goal, WisDOT plans to:
  • Build an attractive, high-quality highway that enhances the community
  • Maintain safe construction zones
  • Increase the overall safety of US 41
  • Reach out to communities and businesses along the corridor
  • Encourage economic growth by creating job and business opportunities
  • Create paved bicycle and pedestrian trails
  • Widen the highway to accommodate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists
  • Complete the project on-time and on-budget
