October 31 to November 4: Continue construction of off-alignment piers with the installation of cofferdams, shoring, and piling. Pier footings and abutment steel and concrete will be placed as work continues. Contractor plans to continue mobilizing equipment and materials to the site and to install erosion control devices as needed. Grading work stripping topsoil, common excavation, and placing haul roads will continue in the area of the former existing west US 10/WIS 441 to north I-41 on-ramp. After the traffic has been switched off of the existing B-70-061 structure, demolition will begin on that structure, removing the bridge deck. Common excavation and grading work will begin, and embankment will begin to be placed on the westbound US10/WIS 441 area where the old west to south loop ramp used to be.

Traffic Impacts: There will be single inside (left) I-41 lane closures between the WIS10/US441 and I-41 interchange ramps from 4 a.m. on Monday mornings, until noon on Fridays for the next few weeks. Eastbound and westbound US 10/WIS 441 traffic will be moved onto the new bridge over Little Lake Butte des Morts in November of 2016. When the traffic is off of the old bridge where traffic currently is, that bridge will have the deck removed, and work will begin on that structure. Also, when traffic comes off of the current bridge and moves fully onto the new bridge over Little Lake Butte des Morts, the westbound US 10/WIS 441 to northbound I-41 ramp will be closed for the majority of the project. There will be various lane, ramp, and mainline closures at different times, throughout the duration of the project to mobilize equipment, build substructures, demo bridges, set girders and strip formwork. Prior notification of those closures will be on website, PCMS boards, news releases and social media, along with guidance to preferred routes. Please continue to use caution and exercise patience while driving through the work zones.
